今、最後にお読みになってくださった箇所の一言葉、「揺り動かされない御国」という表現が出てきます。今日の題名はそれです。そのことについて、三つに分けて考えたいと思います。第一の意味は、神の国の性質とはいったい何でしょうか。第二番目、神の国のための準備とは、どういうものなのでしょうか。そして、第三番目、神の国のための主ご自身のあらかじめの配慮とは、いったいどういうものなのでしょうか。

12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and worship God in reverence and fear in a way that pleases him.

In the last verse we just read, the expression, “a kingdom that cannot be shaken” is used. I took the title of this sermon from here. I would like to divide this discussion into three parts.

Firstly, what are the characteristics of the kingdom of God? Secondly, what do we need to do to prepare for the kingdom of God? Thirdly, how did the Lord himself prepare his kingdom of God in advance? Let me read one more verse.

18:5 どうも、このやもめは、うるさくてしかたがないから、この女のために裁判をしてやることにしよう。でないと、ひっきりなしにやって来てうるさくてしかたがない。』と言った。」

18:6 主は言われた。「不正な裁判官の言っていることを聞きなさい。

18:7 まして神は、夜昼神を呼び求めている選民のためにさばきをつけないで、いつまでもそのことを放っておかれることがあるでしょうか。

18:8 あなたがたに言いますが、神は、すみやかに彼らのために正しいさばきをしてくださいます。しかし、人の子が来たとき、はたして地上に信仰が見られるでしょうか。」

18:27 イエスは言われた。「人にはできないことが、神にはできるのです。」

最後にお読みになりました箇所は、本当に喜びの訪れなのではないでしょうか。「人にはできないことが、神にはできるのです。」不可能が可能となること――これを今日の主題にしましょうか。不可能と思われることでも、すべてがそのように不可能であるとは限りません。

18:2 He said, “In a city there was a judge who didn’t fear God or respect people.
18:3 In that city there was also a widow who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
18:4 For a while the judge refused. But later, he told himself, ‘I don’t fear God or respect people,
18:5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice. Otherwise, she will keep coming and wear me out.’”
18:6 Then the Lord added, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
18:7 Won’t God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them?
18:8 I tell you, he will give them justice quickly. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

18:27 Jesus replied, “The things that are impossible for people are possible for God.”

The very last verse we just read gives us the reason to rejoice, doesn't it? “The things that are impossible for people are possible for God.” The impossible turns possible; I would like to make this the subject of today's sermon. Not all things that seem impossible to us are impossible in a real sense.

16:21 and are advocating customs that we are not allowed to accept or practice as Romans.”
16:22 The crowd joined in the attack against them. Then the magistrates had Paul and Silas stripped of their clothes and ordered them beaten with rods.
16:23 After giving them a severe beating, they threw them in jail and ordered the jailer to keep them under tight security.
16:24 Having received these orders, he put them into the inner cell and fastened their feet in leg irons.
16:25 Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

6:4 The foundations of the thresholds quaked at the sound of those who kept calling out, and the Temple was filled with smoke.

6:5 “How terrible it will be for me!” I cried, “because I am ruined! I’m a man with unclean lips, and I live among a people with unclean lips! And my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of the Heavenly Armies!”

10:9 If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10:10 For one believes with his heart and is justified, and declares with his mouth and is saved.
10:11 The Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will never be ashamed.”
10:12 There is no difference between Jew and Greek, because they all have the same Lord, who gives richly to all who call on him.
10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Among these verses we just read, I believe that you all have read the verse 11 repeatedly and are convinced of it; “The Scripture says....” The only thing that matters is what the scripture says. It is not important at all what people say, or what churches and assemblies tell you.

10:9 なぜなら、もしあなたの口でイエスを主と告白し、あなたの心で神はイエスを死者の中からよみがえらせてくださったと信じるなら、あなたは救われるからです。
10:10 人は心に信じて義と認められ、口で告白して救われるのです。
10:11 聖書はこう言っています。「彼に信頼する者は、失望させられることがない。」
10:12 ユダヤ人とギリシャ人との区別はありません。同じ主が、すべての人の主であり、主を呼び求めるすべての人に対して恵み深くあられるからです。
10:13 「主の御名を呼び求める者は、だれでも救われる。」のです。

今、読んできた下さった箇所の中の11節は、皆さん、何回もお読みになったし、確信するようになったんじゃないでしょうか。『聖書はこう言っています。』大切なのは、聖書がなんと言っているかということです。人間がなんと言っているか、教会、集会が何と言っているかは関係がない。

139:24 私のうちに傷のついた道があるか、ないかを見て、私をとこしえの道に導いてください。

今、読んできてくださった箇所は、ダビデの祈りです。いろいろなことで悩んでいる人々に、よくお勧めします。詩篇を読んで、祈ってください。祈りながら、詩篇を読みなさい。いいですよ。

ダビデとは、もちろん、完全ではなかった。どうして御心にかなう人と呼ばれたか。祈ったからです。今、読んでもらいました二箇所も、彼の心からの叫びでした。『主よ、私を調べ、・・・・他の人々ではない。』

139:23 Examine me, God, and know my mind, test me, and know my thoughts.
139:24 See if there is any offensive tendency in me, and lead me in the eternal way.
These verses we just read are the prayers of David. I always recommend to people in distress and anguish to pray reading the Psalms and read the Psalms with prayers.

David, of course was far from perfect. Then, how was he referred to as the one who pleased God? It was because he prayed. These verses we read above were his heartfelt scream. “Examine me, not someone else, Lord, but examine me and inspect me! Test my heart and mind.” After all, he did not know what to think, what to do. So, he entrusted everything to the Lord's hand.

このあいだに引き続いて、いわゆる、リバイバルの必要性、大切さ、また、可能性について、一緒に考えてみたいと思います。リバイバルという言葉は、確かに日本語ではないようですね。英語の言葉です。意味は、霊的覚醒、あるいは、信仰の復興、信仰の復活を意味します。眠ってしまった信者は、リバイバル、信仰の復興を必要とします。すなわち、イエス様との生き生きとした交わりによって新しくされ、新しく生かされることが必要です。
