8:14 あなたがレビ人をイスラエル人のうちから分けるなら、レビ人はわたしのものとなる。

今まで読んでもらった箇所の中で、何回も、「レビ人」ということばが出てきました。聖書の中で、何回も出て来るから、やはり、大切なのではないでしょうか。有名なイザヤ書、四十三章の一節にも、似ていることばが書かれています。

Ezekiel
44:15 The descendants of Zadok, Levitical priests who took care of my sanctuary when the Israelis wandered away from me, are to come near me to minister to me. They are to stand before me to offer the fat and the blood to me," declares the Lord God.

In these verses we just read, the word 'Levi' appears a number of times. Well, words repeatedly used in the Bible must have some significant meaning for us. We find some resemblance in the famous first verse of Isaiah, Chapter 43.

1:16 私たちはみな、この方の満ち満ちた豊かさの中から、恵みの上にさらに恵みを受けたのである。
11:1 さて、ある人が病気にかかっていた。ラザロといって、マリヤとその姉妹マルタとの村の出で、ベタニヤの人であった。

1:15 John told the truth about him when he cried out, "This is the person about whom I said, 'The one who comes after me ranks higher than me, because he existed before me.'"
1:16 We have all received one gracious gift after another from his abundance,
11:1 Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
11:2 Mary was the woman who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped his feet with her hair. Her brother Lazarus was the one who was ill.
11:3 So the sisters sent word to Jesus, saying, "Lord, the one whom you love is ill."
11:4 But when Jesus heard it, he said, "This illness is not meant to end in death. It is for God's glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it."
11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
11:6 Yet, when he heard that Lazarus was ill, he stayed where he was for two more days.

目標を目ざして一心に走っているのです

3:13 兄弟たちよ。私は、自分はすでに捕えたなどと考えてはいません。ただ、この一事に励んでいます。すなわち、うしろのものを忘れ、ひたむきに前のものに向かって進み、
3:14 キリスト・イエスにおいて上に召してくださる神の栄冠を得るために、目標を目ざして一心に走っているのです。
今、オサム兄弟が言われたように、家族の救いは約束されているから、本当にすごい。これは、イエス様の約束ですから疑いない。主は、家族の中の一人二人の救いを考えてはいない。全家族です。あなたが信じたとおりになると、書いてあるのではないでしょうか。95歳でしたかね？主にとって、不可能なことはない。約束されているから、ありがたい。目に見える現実を見るとガッカリ、どうしたらいいか分からない。けども、主は約束を与えるお方というよりも、約束を守る方です。
