Romans
10:8 But what does it say? “The message is near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the message about faith that we are proclaiming:
10:9 If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10:10 For one believes with his heart and is justified, and declares with his mouth and is saved.
10:11 The Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will never be ashamed.”
10:12 There is no difference between Jew and Greek, because they all have the same Lord, who gives richly to all who call on him.
10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Among these verses we just read, I believe that you all have read the verse 11 repeatedly and are convinced of it; “The Scripture says....” The only thing that matters is what the scripture says. It is not important at all what people say, or what churches and assemblies tell you.

10:8 では、どう言っていますか。「みことばはあなたの近くにある。あなたの口にあり、あなたの心にある。」これは私たちの宣べ伝えている信仰のことばのことです。
10:9 なぜなら、もしあなたの口でイエスを主と告白し、あなたの心で神はイエスを死者の中からよみがえらせてくださったと信じるなら、あなたは救われるからです。
10:10 人は心に信じて義と認められ、口で告白して救われるのです。
10:11 聖書はこう言っています。「彼に信頼する者は、失望させられることがない。」
10:12 ユダヤ人とギリシャ人との区別はありません。同じ主が、すべての人の主であり、主を呼び求めるすべての人に対して恵み深くあられるからです。
10:13 「主の御名を呼び求める者は、だれでも救われる。」のです。

今、読んできた下さった箇所の中の11節は、皆さん、何回もお読みになったし、確信するようになったんじゃないでしょうか。『聖書はこう言っています。』大切なのは、聖書がなんと言っているかということです。人間がなんと言っているか、教会、集会が何と言っているかは関係がない。

1:21 Then they went to Capernaum. As soon as it was the Sabbath, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.
1:22 The people were utterly amazed at his teaching, because he was teaching them like one with authority and not like their scribes.
1:23 Suddenly there was a man in their synagogue who had an unclean spirit. He screamed,
1:24 “What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are―the Holy One of God!”
1:25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”
1:26 At this, the unclean spirit shook the man, cried out with a loud voice, and came out of him.
1:27 All the people were so stunned that they kept saying to each other, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He tells even the unclean spirits what to do, and they obey him!”
1:28 At once his fame began to spread throughout the surrounding region of Galilee.

What attitude should we take when we gather at the meetings? I would like to discuss this important matter with you this morning. Let me divide the discussion into three parts. Firstly, Jesus. Secondly, brothers and sisters of the early churches. And thirdly, ourselves. How should we prepare our minds when we attend the meetings?
