13:21 イエスは、これらのことを話されたとき、霊の激動を感じ、あかしして言われた。「まことに、まことに、あなたがたに告げます。あなたがたのうちのひとりが、わたしを裏切ります。」
13:22 弟子たちは、だれのことを言われたのか、わからずに当惑して、互いに顔を見合わせていた。
13:23 弟子のひとりで、イエスが愛しておられた者が、イエスの右側で席に着いていた。
13:24 そこで、シモン・ペテロが彼に合図をして言った。「だれのことを言っておられるのか、知らせなさい。」
13:25 その弟子は、イエスの右側で席についたまま、イエスに言った。「主よ。それはだれですか。」
13:26 イエスは答えられた。「それはわたしがパン切れを浸して与える者です。」それからイエスは、パン切れを浸し、取って、イスカリオテ・シモンの子ユダにお与えになった。
13:27 彼がパン切れを受けると、そのとき、サタンが彼にはいった。そこで、イエスは彼に言われた。「あなたがしようとしていることを、今すぐしなさい。」
13:28 席に着いている者で、イエスが何のためにユダにそう言われたのか知っている者は、だれもなかった。
13:29 ユダが金入れを持っていたので、イエスが彼に、「祭りのために入用の物を買え。」と言われたのだとか、または、貧しい人々に何か施しをするように言われたのだとか思った者も中にはいた。
13:30 ユダは、パン切れを受けるとすぐ、外に出て行った。すでに夜であった。

ただいま、お読みいただきました引用聖句は、ご承知のように、最後の晩餐の席で、イエス様がユダの裏切りを弟子たちに予告された箇所であります。このユダの裏切りは、新約聖書の中で、もっとも不可解な出来事として、歴代の聖書学者をはじめ、多くの人々が、ユダが罪を犯すに至った動機を解き明かそうと、模索してきたところではないかと思います。

ベック兄は、火曜日の学び会で、今、読んでいただいたところもそうなんですけど、種蒔きのたとえから始まる一連のたとえについて、学んでくださいました。けれども、からし種のたとえを最後として、以後、火曜日の学びの場に立たれることはありませんでした。ですから、私は個人的に、本当にこれが、ベック兄の遺言のようにして、受け取っております。

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. and these are contrary the one to the other. so that you cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led of the Spirit, you are not under the law” (Galatians 5:16-18, American King James Version).

“And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 24-25).

In this article, I would like to discuss the walk in the Holy Spirit, which we absolutely need to understand as Christians.

There are two different ways for believers to walk. One is to walk by the ”flesh,” and the other is to walk in the “Holy Spirit.” While many Christians believe that all they need is to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, Jesus tells us that it is not enough. They have to walk being led by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is telling us:

I am so grateful that I could come back here after so many decades. I have completely forgotten when I came for the first time. I used to visit every week to teach the German language. The founder of this school gave me special permission to use the school's library any time I liked. He even encouraged me to talk about Jesus to his students. It was a very pleasant time. Although I have no idea when the seeds sown will be reaped, I am quite confident that no seed was wasted. Today, I am going to talk about this subject, “death is not the end.”

Thirteen years ago, a terrible incident occurred on September 11th in the United States. Huge numbers of people were killed instantly. These are the words written on the wall of a fire station of New York.

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it,
and only God knows why.

These words were made public. After all, no one can explain why and how it had to happen. The most dangerous answer to this question comes from religion. Whenever you go through an ordeal, religion always tells you that it occurred because of your arrogance, or perhaps that it was a divine punishment for the evil deeds of your grandfather. These are all lies.

皆さん、こんにちわ。酒井です。もと中町の酒井です。

十日ほど前に、田中順次兄から電話がかかってきて、『いくら電話しても、ベックさんにかからないんだよ！』それは、そうだろうと思ってね。『ついては千尋さん、メッセージを頼むよ』ということで、『はい、じゃあやるよ。』それが今日のメッセージです。急なことでございまして、よろしくお願いいたします。

この地上で生きていくということは、本当にたいへんです。お一人お一人、よくここまで生きて来られた、切り抜けて来られたと思われるはずです。本当に、お疲れさまでした。そして、不思議なことに、幸いなことに、皆さま、こうしてちゃんとここに集められている――神様の哀れみです。そして、恵みであり、守りです。

お読みいただきました引用聖句は、イエス様が十字架にかけられる前日、オリーブ山のふもと、ゲッセマネで、祭司長、律法学者たちが遣わした群衆によって逮捕された、その時の話であります。この少し前の三十一節で、ペトロは力を込めて言っております。

In this article, I would like to discuss the preparation required to serve the Lord.

“The one with two talents also came forward and said, ‘Master, you gave me two talents. See, I’ve earned two more talents.’ His master told him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy servant! Since you have been trustworthy with a small amount, I will put you in charge of a large amount. Come and share your master’s joy!’” (Matthew 25:22-23, International Standard Version).

“Tychicus, our dear brother and a faithful minister in service to the Lord” (Ephesians 6:21).

It is an unignorable fact that some believers of Jesus Christ, while claiming that they are serving God, actually work for their own purposes and serve God in a worldly manner.

今日は、『不正の富で友をつくりなさい』というタイトルにさせていただきましたが、まず初めに、聖書の不正な管理人のたとえ話の全文をご一緒に読んでみたいと思います。

“Not to us, Lord, not to us, but to your name be given glory on account of your gracious love and faithfulness” (Psalms 115:1).

Life without the Lord Jesus is valueless and meaningless because the Lord Jesus is the only one who has the power to give us eternal life, true satisfaction and resolve all our problems.

19:5 When Jesus came to the tree, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down! I must stay at your house today.”

今まで私たちは、二つの点について考えました。第一番目、神の国とは、いったい何でしょうか。二番目、神の国は、現在、どのような現れを示しているかについてです。今日は、第三番目の点について、すなわち、神の国は将来、どのように実現されるのかについて、一緒に考えてみたいと思います。

4:33 With many other parables like these, Jesus kept speaking his message to them according to their ability to understand.
4:34 He did not tell them anything without using a parable, though he explained everything to his disciples in private.

In our previous meeting, we discussed two things. Firstly, what is the kingdom of God? Secondly, how is the kingdom of God revealed to us at this present time?

Today, I would like to discuss with you briefly the third point, that is to say, how will the kingdom of God be revealed in the future?

今回、また来ることができたのは良かった。愛するショウジ兄弟、ノブコ姉妹ともう一回会いたいと切に望んだのです。我々の主はすごいね。すばらしい。もちろん言葉で言い表せないほどすごいお方です。我々がこの主を知るようになったのはこれこそ、恵みです。

It was a blessing that I could come back here today. I desperately wanted to see my dear brother Shouji and sister Nobuko again. Our Lord is so great. He is wonderful. He is so great that He is beyond expression in words. We came to know this Lord, which is by itself a grace.

In the previous meeting, we learned about the “beginning of our life of faith.” Today, I would like to discuss with you the “growth of our life of faith.” Let us read the verse 26 again:

今、読んでくださった2か所を通して、なんと勧められているかと言いますと、今まで以上に主にあって喜べ。これこそが主の望んでおられることです。主を喜ぶことこそが力の源です。詩篇の作者であるダビデはもちろん、それを経験しました。

What these two verses encourage us to do is to rejoice in the Lord more than we do now. This is what the Lord wants us to do. To rejoice in the Lord is the source of all strength. This was what David, the author of Psalms experienced.

4:4 蒔いているとき、種が道ばたに落ちた。すると、鳥が来て食べてしまった。

4:5 また、別の種が土の薄い岩地に落ちた。土が深くなかったので、すぐに芽を出した。

4:6 しかし日が上ると、焼けて、根がないために枯れてしまった。

4:7 また、別の種がいばらの中に落ちた。ところが、いばらが伸びて、それをふさいでしまったので、実を結ばなかった。

4:8 また、別の種が良い地に落ちた。すると芽ばえ、育って、実を結び、三十倍、六十倍、百倍になった。」

4:9 そしてイエスは言われた。「聞く耳のある者は聞きなさい。」

Psalms

37:1 Don’t be angry because of those who do evil, do not be jealous because of those who commit iniquity.

37:2 Indeed, they soon will wither like grass, and like green herbs they will fade away.

37:3 Trust in the Lord and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on faithfulness.

37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

37:5 Commit your way to the Lord; Trust him, and he will act.

37:6 He will bring forth your righteousness as a light, and your justice as the noonday sun.

37:7 Be silent in the Lord’s presence and wait patiently for him. Don’t be angry because of the one whose way prospers or the one who implements evil schemes.

4:2 イエスはたとえによって多くのことを教えられた。その教えの中でこう言われた。

4:3 「よく聞きなさい。種を蒔く人が種蒔きに出かけた。

4:4 蒔いているとき、種が道ばたに落ちた。すると、鳥が来て食べてしまった。

4:5 また、別の種が土の薄い岩地に落ちた。土が深くなかったので、すぐに芽を出した。

4:6 しかし日が上ると、焼けて、根がないために枯れてしまった。

4:7 また、別の種がいばらの中に落ちた。ところが、いばらが伸びて、それをふさいでしまったので、実を結ばなかった。

4:8 また、別の種が良い地に落ちた。すると芽ばえ、育って、実を結び、三十倍、六十倍、百倍になった。」

4:9 そしてイエスは言われた。「聞く耳のある者は聞きなさい。」

4:1 Then Jesus began to teach again beside the sea. Such a large crowd gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while the entire crowd remained beside the sea on the shore.

4:2 He began teaching them many things in parables. While he was teaching them he said,

4:3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow.

4:4 As he was sowing, some seeds fell along the path, and birds came and ate them up.

4:5 Others fell on stony ground, where they did not have a lot of soil. They sprouted at once because the soil wasn’t deep.

4:6 But when the sun came up, they were scorched. Since they did not have any roots, they dried up.

4:7 Others fell among thorn bushes, and the thorn bushes came up and choked them out, and they did not produce anything.

4:8 But others fell on good soil and produced a crop. They grew up, increased in size, and produced 30, 60, or 100 times what was sown.”

4:9 He added, “Let the person who has ears to hear, listen!”

4:10 When he was alone with the Twelve and those around him, they began to ask him about the parables.

19:1 As Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through it,

19:2 a man named Zacchaeus appeared. He was a leading tax collector, and a rich one at that!

19:3 He was trying to see who Jesus was, but he couldn’t do so due to the crowd, since he was a short man.

19:4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus, who was going to pass that way.

19:5 When Jesus came to the tree, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down! I must stay at your house today.”

4:15 みことばが道ばたに蒔かれるとは、こういう人たちのことです――みことばを聞くと、すぐサタンが来て、彼らに蒔かれたみことばを持ち去ってしまうのです。

4:16 同じように、岩地に蒔かれるとは、こういう人たちのことです――みことばを聞くと、すぐに喜んで受けるが、

4:17 根を張らないで、ただしばらく続くだけです。それで、みことばのために困難や迫害が起こると、すぐにつまずいてしまいます。

4:18 もう一つの、いばらの中に種を蒔かれるとは、こういう人たちのことです。――みことばを聞いてはいるが、

4:19 世の心づかいや、富の惑わし、その他いろいろな欲望がはいり込んで、みことばをふさぐので、実を結びません。

4:20 良い地に蒔かれるとは、みことばを聞いて受け入れ、三十倍、六十倍、百倍の実を結ぶ人たちです。」

4:11 He told them, “The secret about the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside, everything comes in parables

4:12 so that ‘they may see clearly but not perceive, and they may hear clearly but not understand, otherwise they might turn around and be forgiven.’”

4:13 Then he told them, “You don’t understand this parable, so how can you understand any of the parables?

4:14 The farmer sows the word.

4:15 Some people are like the seeds along the path, where the word is sown. When they hear it, Satan immediately comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.

4:16 Others are like the seeds sown on the stony ground. When they hear the word, at once they joyfully accept it,

4:17 but since they don’t have any roots, they last for only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes along because of the word, they immediately fall away.

4:18 Still others are like the seeds sown among the thorn bushes. These are the people who hear the word,

4:19 but the worries of life, the deceitful pleasures of wealth, and the desires for other things come in and choke the word so that it can’t produce a crop.

4:20 Others are like the seeds sown on good soil. They hear the word, accept it, and produce crops―30, 60, or 100 times what was sown.

Today, I would like to discuss with you the knowledge that all people absolutely need to have. It is the knowledge that no one but the Lord God can give us. Let me read again the last verse we just read.

In this article, I would like to discuss “The secret of leading a life of victory” based on the epistle to the Romans, chapter 6, verse 6, first epistle to the Corinthians, chapter 2, verse 2, epistle to the Galatians, chapter 2, verse 20 and second epistle to the Corinthians, chapter 4.

Why do so many people fail to make spiritual progress even though they believe in and have accepted the Lord? It is simply because they allow their lives to be controlled by their “self.” Sooner or later, for all those who are given faith, the time comes to realize that the real obstacle to their life of faith is neither in their living circumstances nor other people, but it is hidden in their hearts.

10:33 「さあ、これから、わたしたちはエルサレムに向かって行きます。人の子は、祭司長、律法学者たちに引き渡されるのです。彼らは、人の子を死刑に定め、そして、異邦人に引き渡します。

10:34 すると彼らはあざけり、つばきをかけ、むち打ち、ついに殺します。しかし、人の子は三日の後に、よみがえります。」

10:35 さて、ゼベダイのふたりの子、ヤコブとヨハネが、イエスのところに来て言った。「先生。私たちの頼み事をかなえていただきたいと思います。」

10:32 Now Jesus and his disciples had been on the road going up to Jerusalem, with Jesus walking ahead of them. They were astonished, and the others who followed were afraid. Once again, Jesus took the Twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to him.

10:33 “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the high priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death. Then they will hand him over to the unbelievers,

10:34 and they will make fun of him, spit on him, whip him, and kill him. But after three days he will be raised.”

10:35 James and John, the sons of Zebedee, went to Jesus and told him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask you.”

10:36 He asked them, “What do you want me to do for you?”

10:37 They asked him, “Let us sit in your glory, one on your right and one on your left.”

10:38 But Jesus told them, “You don’t realize what you’re asking. Can you drink from the cup that I’m going to drink from or be baptized with the baptism with which I’m going to be baptized?”

10:39 They told him, “We can.” Jesus told them, “You will drink from the cup that I’m going to drink and be baptized with the baptism with which I’m going to be baptized.

10:40 But it’s not up to me to grant you a seat at my right or my left. Those positions have already been prepared for others.”

10:41 When the ten other disciples heard this, they began to be furious with James and John.

10:42 Jesus called his disciples and told them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers among the unbelievers Lord it over them, and their superiors act like tyrants over them.

10:43 That’s not the way it should be among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

10:44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be a slave to everyone,

10:45 because even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people.”
